Saudi Arabia - Al Madina - Original Article (Arabic)

As thousands of athletes from around the world are competing for gold, silver and bronze medals at the London Olympics, American President Barack “Hussein” Obama is competing against Republican Party presidential candidate Mitt Romney for the Olympic medal from Israel - oh excuse me - I meant the Israeli satisfaction medal.

The first signs an agreement cementing the military alliance with Israel - as if it needed to be strengthened - doubling the value of aid by supporting a project to cover Israeli skies with an "Iron Dome" anti-missile and anti-aircraft shield.

And the second, on a visit to Israel, sat in the presence of Israeli President Shimon Peres without showing respect by crossing his legs - an unusual oversight for the Americans - and then announced that he will work to cement Israel’s security forever.

Neither did he forget to pay a visit to the Palestinian Prime Minister [Salam Fayyad] to encourage him to make further concessions to Israel. These medals - the satisfaction medals - are not round and gold, silver, or bronze, but a hexagonal star of blue representing the entity Greater Israel, surrounded by two blue lines; one on the top and one on the bottom. It is said these symbolize the rivers Nile and Euphrates - and Israel's desire for colonial expansion at the expense of the Arabs, who are busy sending their athletes to London in an attempt to walk away with Olympic sporting medals. But as usual, except for a lucky few, all medals will be displayed in the cabinets of others, while they (America and Israel) hold their satisfaction “Olympics” and leave Homs to us! It happens every four years: American elections are synchronized with two Olympics; one that involves sports in which Arabs have no luck; and one that involves satisfying Israel, in which Arabs also have no luck!
